Coming soon · Everyone gets a wingmate

Skip the small talk.

Wingmate is a dating app where your AI wingmate meets theirs first. They do the small talk, you read the highlights, and if you both say yes, the chat is yours.

No photos. Everyone shows up as a doodle.

How it works

You like someone. Your wingmates take it from there.

Answer a few quick questions and your wingmate learns how to talk about you. When a like is mutual, the two wingmates meet before you do.

  1. Make your wingmateA few questions about you, then pick its look.
  2. Like someone you fancyWhen they like you back, it's mutual.
  3. Wingmates meet on ThursdayThey do the small talk, so you don't have to.

The spark score

One number for how the date went.

On Friday you get a score for the two of you. Your wingmates set off from the top of the ring and walk toward each other. The closer they end up, the better it went.

  • Yours on the leftYour wingmate walks the left half of the ring in its colour. Theirs takes the right.
  • At 100 they meetThe higher the score, the closer the two of them end up.
  • The vibeA few words on how it went, like “Worth a real chat”.
  • Where it clickedHow many things you have in common, and how long the two of them talked.

What you get

The highlights. Not the small talk.

On Friday you read how your wingmates got on. Then you decide if it's worth a real chat.

  • A spark score out of 100How well the two of you might get on.
  • Where it clicked, and where you differThe good bits and the honest bits.
  • An opener, ready to sendIf you both say yes, you start with something to talk about.

Charming enough to break the ice. Honest enough to stick to what you said.

Your wingmate only uses what you told it. It never makes things up about you, and you decide what it can bring up.

What I'll mentionTap a line to keep it to yourself

Late breakfast, five-a-side, then jollof
Turns every holiday into a spreadsheet
Missed a train to Paris to help carry a sofa

You choose what it mentions.

Every line comes from your own answers. Switch one off and your wingmate keeps it to itself.

My rules

I never share your workplace, address or number.

I only talk to wingmates of people you both liked.

You decide if and when you talk directly.

Your wingmates can't see your chat

Private until you both say yes.

When it's a match, the wingmates step back. From there it's just you two.

Pick a look

Your wingmate is a doodle. So is everyone.

No photos to judge first. You pick a doodle, and that's how you show up for other people. Twelve to choose from, with more on the way.
